December 2014

Feeling flustered with your dated decor? Have a guest-ready bathroom for the holidays with this month's expert blog, as Ardele Warren from Splashes Bath & Kitchen Centres tackles quick design tips that can be done in a weekend!

  • Painting is one of the most cost effective ways you can update a bathroom. With a few hours of work, you can completely change the feel of the room. (Feeling adventurous? Add a feature wall using art or wallpaper!)

  • Remove shower doors and install a fresh new curved shower curtain rod. The space will open up, and it will instantly cut down on cleaning time. Another added bonus? You get to spice up your bathroom even more with a new shower curtain!

  • Install a hotel rack. These are simple to put up, and provide lots of room for extra towel storage.

  • Frame your bathroom mirrors using any type of moulding to easily add style and beauty to a bathroom.

  • Switch up your sink! Add more drama with a large vanity, or free up some space by switching to a sleeker design. You can easily accomplish this major transformation in a weekend.

  • Make your bathroom's lighting a part of the decor. Switch out your boring light fixtures for attractive pendant lights or statement sconces. If you're feeling ultra-fancy, you can really enhance your bathroom's decor by installing an overhead chandelier!
